Kathy is like a fresh breeze that has come into my life. She is a friend that I look forward to talking with because she hears what I say to her. Life has laid before me several opportunities to grow and Kathy is helping me to claify my thinking to help me make wise decisions.

Her spiritual maturity is beyond her years so I know she is listening to a higher power as we talk about the issues of life. It is a privilege for me to recommend her to my friends and an honor to know her.

I have definitely taken many Freedom Steps that, without Kathy, I might not have realized were even there. She has helped me to define the gap between where I am and where I want to be. The physical and emotional pain of vaginismus had left me defeated and lacking motivation to overcome. Even as I made progress with a self-treatment program, my broken spirit held me back from experiencing healing. I have primary vaginismus and I received the resources needed to overcome this condition a couple of years ago. The information about treatment in the books on vaginismus was an incredible resource, however I found myself getting discouraged & feeling stuck at various points due to mental blocks, fears & questions that would arise as I read & tried to work through the process.
Therefore, at best, I was "playing" with the recovery process which was frustrating in & of itself. Then, five months ago, just a month after I got engaged, the Lord brought Kathy into my life. Being able to share my growth process with her has been a huge blessing. She has supported & challenged me in ways that other friends & counselors haven't been able to do and has helped me to face my fears & address my questions. I haven't yet completely overcome vaginismus but I've made great strides & I now know that it's just a matter of time!
